Bert Elliot

Bert Elliot

Performance: 2pm, Mercy University Music Studio, 121 Victory Hall, 500 Broadway Dobbs Ferry & 5pm, The Aqueduct @ Cedar St. & Main St, Dobbs Ferry

Electronic music with great beats and virtuoso guitar

Guitar, bass, keyboards & drums

Bert Elliot, a Blues Hall of Fame Inductee, is an instrumental music sensation who is known for his artistic dexterity and virtuosic guitar performances that are perfectly complemented by a precise electronic arrangement.

New York’s own Bert Elliot has seen and done it all. Bert’s musical career began at the age of 20 when he joined Gary Toms on tour. Not only did he experience his first recording, he discovered numerous places throughout the United States, and he was able to hone his craft. After his tenure with Gary Toms, Bert found joy in writing instrumental guitar music and building up his portfolio. After a stellar guitar-tracking session by Bert (during a Rainy Davis session with producer Pete Warner) he was introduced to Susan Badar, the CEO of music publisher, DSM Producers. DSM signed Bert immediately. Bert brought a new and unique skill to his music compositions. He wrote and recorded beat-oriented instrumental music with synthesizers and rock guitar at the time. Through the DSM partnership, Bert’s music began to gain exposure as fast as he could create it with placements on a variety of television shows such as Saturday Night Live, Jerry Springer, Maury, the NFL, and VH1, to name a few.

As much as Bert enjoys writing music and recording, he did not allow himself to be confined to his recording studio. Throughout his career, Bert could be found performing at a variety of New York City clubs with various groups, or his own Bert Elliot band. Bert’s talent did not go unnoticed. Guitar Player magazine featured Bert in their April 2008 edition for his song, “Don’t Shoot, Let’s Rock.” Editor-In-Chief, Michael Molenda wrote: “Elliot wears his Wired-era Jeff Beck influence like a neon tattoo, but he pulls it off by nailing the master’s whammy excursions and melodic taste. The ballsy and totally professional production of the track doesn’t hurt either, as the driving tune highlights his phrasing and well-crafted guitarTones.”

Bert’s continued contributions including his first two albums, On The Positive Tip and Asylum in Playland, earned him a spot as Inductee to the Blues Hall of Fame on February 11, 2015. Bert’s musical journey continues with the upcoming release of his single “Journey To Infinity” slated for release on May 24, 2024.
