The Quintin Harris Quartet (led by vocalist and pianist, Quintin Harris) is excited to be playing on this year’s RiverArts Tour. The group (with Bailey Giles on saxophone, Sam AuBuchon on bass, and Marlen Suero-Amparo on drums) found a deeper understanding of this music under the tutelage of their longtime mentor and influence, Bill Charlap. Recently, they returned to the legendary Birdland Jazz Club for two sold-out performances. The Quintin Harris Quartet was formed to uphold the tradition of “The Great American Songbook” and their love for small-group arrangements by such artists like Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, and Sonny Clark, to name a few. The Quintin Harris Quartet is excited to debut new arrangements at Purpl for the 2024 RiverArts Tour.
