Boojum was born in new york city at the legendary brooklyn bowl during “Walrus in Wonderland”, a special one-time show where The Beatles jam-band “Walrus” introduced an array of original songs inspired by the story of Alice in Wonderland. Following the show’s success and the collective enthusiasm to pursue an original musical direction, Walrus members Chris Mackin (guitar/vocals) and Josh Santiago (guitar/vocals) joined forces with Sarah Elaz (bass/vocals) and Mike Coiro (drums) to create Boojum. Boojum weaves elements of jam, EDM, funk, pop, and progressive music, showcasing lyrics crafted by Chris’s brother, Tom Mackin, a poet and translator.

Brought to you by the creators of Loop Troupe, Boojum’s live shows are a spectacle of creativity, sometimes featuring elaborate costumes, dancers, actors, props, and projections. Beginning in 2016, Loop Troupe has produced hundreds of concerts, plays, musicals and multi-media shows.

Boojum continues to write and record new music, with their debut ep set to be released in APRIL 2024.
